To my kinky, curly, coily haired girlies! Your hair is:
Glorious
Please pass this message to those with massive crowns!
Having a lot of hair to manage can be overwhelming. Be gentle with yourself. Furthermore, be selective about who you allow to care for your hair. Sometimes well meaning persons can speak negatively about your precious strands because they don’t understand how to care for it. & in some cases, don’t want to do the necessary work.
Regardless of what people have said and done regarding your crown – keep holding your head high.
If you’re raising young children let them see you embracing those curls from time to time – it shows them they can do the same.
That’s what I’m doing with my daughter. I want her to love her hair!
Like Corinne Bailey Rae sings in ” Girl Puts Your Records On”:
“Go Ahead Let Your Hair Down”
“Gotta Love That Afro Hairdo”
Check out a wash day I recently had with daughter, Queen Glory!
While her strands are braided up – she gets to see me – her mama rocking a fro!

My daughter loves it! I do too!
I hope you feel the same way too – about YOU!
Before I go! Here are 10 things I’m thankful for today. I highly recommend you get into a gratitude practice. It will help you to see the gifts in the present! God is moving in your life.
