The Gift Of Safety

This year, my Heavenly Father gave me the best “Mother’s Day”:

He knows I don’t need a bunch of stuff and fluff – he made me and knows my wiring.

I’m really getting over the performative nature of most calendar days.

Each day is special and weighted!

God made it!

I didn’t get a typical “Mother’s Day” card – instead – I was gifted with deep evidence that my children find me safe.

The evidence came from one child in particular.

This child doesn’t even know they gave me the ultimate gift!

My heart and soul knows it though.

I am so honored.

This child openly shared their heart with me – let me right into their world. No walls. No masks.

They invited me in. I RSVP’d sooo fast.

What a win!!!

I find it challenging to lead with shame, because when I self reflect – I’m like:

“Oh, Same & Then I did worse back when…..!”

Been through something similar, did something worse – this is how we remove the chains, change the game, and keep on playing!

I am so thankful that God has allowed me to create a space to nurture his children.

I’m a steward of three children that God has entrusted to me.

I never want to botch our bond beyond repair.

I make mistakes and I drop the ball, but I’m tall enough to bow low with “Forgive me, Mommy messed up”.

It reminds me of a saying that Queen Glory (my 5yrs strong daughter) gifted the family):

“You’re messing up, but we still love you.”

We say it so often that it is part of our family culture. & we don’t say it in a mean way.

It’s facts on facts.

We want each other to know that even if in trouble; doing wrong – there is lifelong residency in our bubble.

Doesn’t matter what we see.

We will cross the sea to rescue you and wash off the sticky residue!

You can be messing up completely without losing love coverage!

Jesus paid the eternal premium for me – who am I to charge you?

It is written in Romans 5:8:

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

It’s an honor to be a branch.

Don’t roam about alone feeling disowned, in Jesus you have a home.

Love,
