Noah’s Ark: Sunshine Floral Design

Whale hello friends! I hope you haven’t been too “tide down” and able to:

“Seas The Day”

I’ve been catching new waves! One of them being a cheerful project that I want you to:

Noah All About

I recently took on the challenge of creating two mid-sized Noah’s Ark themed arrangements for a baby shower! Noah’s Ark Shape Sorter Toys were used as the floral vessels. I enjoy using toys to hold blooms as it serves a playful purpose once the blooms wilt.

The toys were prepped using cardboard, Velcro, floral tape, and scissors.

The floral recipe for this assignment included:

  • Yellow Roses
  • White Mini Roses
  • Yellow Tulips
  • Yellow Alstroemeria

As usual, my toddler assistant, Glory,  helped me design the arrangements.

Set sail on a floral design journey!
Thankful for Glory my grinning toddler assistant!

The Noah’s Ark toys delivered a shipment of radiance! Enough to make ya dance! 🙂

The animal figurines were velcroed to the ramp, giving the appearance of loading the ark.

I am so thankful that Noah was obedient to God: built the ark as instructed, loaded the animals, and his family (Video Biblical Reading: Genesis 6 – Genesis 9)!

This is the account of Noah and his family.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. 10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.16 Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. 17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. 19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. 20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. 21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”

Genesis 6: 9-22

The level of faith that it took to obey God when not a raindrop was in sight! Whew!

“Noah did everything just as God commanded him.”

Genesis 6:22

While doing this project I found myself asking the Lord to give me instructions like he gave Noah for whatever it is I am to do in this season! & beyond that – increase my ability to obey and trust! I’ve found that God is often speaking, but my feet are hesitant to keep moving.

I don’t have the overall plan and that can lead me to feel like I’m in:

Sinking Sand

When really I am to keep holding God’s hand even when I don’t understand. Understanding isn’t the requirement, obedience is. It’s easier to obey when you fully love and trust the one giving the direction. Oh, may we grow deeper in love with our creator so that we are quick to obey as we walk out our journey. Let’s remember that God is good and a covenant keeper.

After all, the beloved:

Rainbow Is A Reminder

12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

Genesis 9: 12 -17

I hope you enjoyed getting to Noah all about this project and the ever expanding ripple it stirred in my soul. Perhaps there are thoughts washing up on your hearts shore. Don’t ignore it, the Father who created all of the lights gives good and perfect gifts (James 1:17). One’s that will surely shock you into a smile filled with delight. 🙂

Catch You On The Next Wave,
