Something being labeled as “Christian” does not equal safety. In my world it:

Increases The Scrutiny!

My children will NEVER do overnights at any camps or just be going over to houses alone.

For what?

Even now I am veryyyyyyyyyyy selective on family they go to for overnights – I DO NOT CARE the title.

My children know to come to me and do. I will document, address, and don’t care if you hate me.

Most ppl hate themselves which is evident by how they have allowed ppl to mishandle them continually.

How can ppl who hate themselves properly love your children?

If necessary:
I will spend all my money. I will go into debt. I will go to jail.

My loyalty is not to the family unit or any system.

Which is a tension point – considering I love family and community.

I’ve seen the harm – that loyalty to these structures can do. There have been times I protected the unit and seen it continue to crumble. There have been times I’ve exposed and seen people cover.

That is the problem!

Do you love your children?

Stop letting them just go anywhere!?!

Some of yall need to ask them about visits they have been on in the past and in a non-threatening way – just listen. Not a sit down. Just an in passing question. See what comes up. If you hear something SUS – take a deep breath and follow process. Document and get an outside of unit in question opinion (VERY important) – document, confront as appropriate, and ensure child is supported and is seen.

They may share times they felt uncomfortable.

There are adults – it may be you – who were inappropriately touched by family/friends in youth – who STILL have said nothing – you going to the grave with it. You don’t want to hurt your family or community. You may feel shame. Know this – it’s already broken. It’s not on you to keep it “together”. Let it crumble.

I haven’t boxed in a while but when I was – my daughter, Queen Glory, was sitting where I could see her. I don’t care that the ppl coming in and out seem nice and that I did my personal vetting. NO. Many times Glory was sitting ringside – where I could see her.

Tell your children to put nothing past NO ONE.

My children follow Jesus – are talented and good looking. They are targets and they know it.

Not out of fear – out of empowerment.

Know this – these families and these institutions are setup to defend the unit. Understand that now. You can be in one day and out the minute you confront foolishness.

Accept it.

If you go to report something – they will take your case but best believe they will do all they can to stay open (evidence linked below in comments as )! Such and such may get written up, a slap on hand, or even fired – your children will have a road of recovery long after.

If you sending your kids to camps overnight in this season – I got questions and don’t need an answer.
