Stop Doing Everything: The End Of The Overwhelmed Parent

Mama! Papa! Caregiver! You do not have to:

If you have capable children – train them to contribute. Upskill them early & often.

This can be done in a way that is seen as an honor and privilege, not an obligation done begrudgingly.

Weave into your family culture that serving is an honor!

Let’s take the area of:

Dinner

Each child (age appropriate, properly skilled) can take one meal per week. My goal is for each of my children to have 14 meals mastered before they leave from under my roof. They are to be empowered with life skill training.

Here is the breakdown for the dinner system in play for my family:

A great starter meal is tacos. The core skills are browning meat and chopping. Tacos are a solid, “get on the green” meal as you can start very basic -> meat, cheese, lettuce, salsa, and some tortilla chips/tortilla.

King Elijah (Age 7) – Now, at 9 is training his sister (Queen Glory, age 4).

Here at my dwelling space, The Billionaire Bubble, 3 dinner meals each week are covered by my two sons. Sometimes we fall off, but for the most part this is the play.

Do you require that your children cook? If so, what are they chef’n up – share in the comments.
