Sweet, Salty, and So Simple: Making Pretzel Kisses

Whenever I’m looking to make something in the kitchen, I search for:

I’m not interested in the complexities and artistry…

of cooking in this season of my life. I like to be in and out. Fed, satisfied, and onto the next thing!

A few years back, I found a sweet, yet salty snack that is made with only 3 ingredients! It also makes for a great gift to others.

Pretzel Kisses

What You’ll Need

  • Snyder’s Snap Pretzels (the square ones)
  • Hershey’s Kisses (or Hershey’s Hugs for a white chocolate twist)
  • M&Ms (any color combination works for year-round snacking)
  • Baking Pan & Parchment Paper
  • Oven

It’s really simple to make! Seeeeeeee…..

Once you have the ingredients and oven set – it should take you about 10 mins to make. Then, you just let the snack cool.

The Pretzel Kisses Process

  1. Prep: Set your oven to 200°F.
  2. Assemble: Place the pretzel snaps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and top each with a Hershey’s Kiss.
  3. Soften: Bake for about 5 minutes—just enough to melt the chocolate without losing its shape.
  4. Press: Immediately press an M&M into the center of each softened Kiss.
  5. Cool: Let them set until the chocolate is firm.

Make it Your Own

In this post, the snack has a Christmas theme! Don’t let that limit you. You can make this snack all year! There are so many different m&m colors and combo variations that are released throughout the year! So have fun with this!

Gifting Tip: If you’re gifting this snack – look for decorative tin cans that fit the occasion!

Looking for a twist? An “internet fam bam” member recommended substituting the Kisses with Rolos and placing a pecan on top! I haven’t tried that version myself yet… so, who’s going to take one for the team and report back?
