Beyond the Lip Print: A Mom’s Search for God’s Kisses in the Mundane
Sometimes I’m giving my daughter, Queen Glory, kisses and wonder how many she has:
Received
in her almost 5 years on this planet!
Ha, she was getting them before she exited the womb through those planted on my belly. Do those count?
So loving!
The other day, Queen Glory, put on my red lipstick. I was in my own world sitting at the kitchen – looked down to my hand and saw the sweetest lip imprint on my hand. It was a perfect, temporary tattoo stamp! The details of her lips were captured so beautifully by the lipstick and transferred nicely to my hand.
Look for yourself!
Isn’t it so cayute!?!
I was so amused by this kiss mark that I received another one!!!
Then it was time to see if these kiss marks could be transferred!
Find out the results in the video below!
I fully intend to get some new red lipstick the kind that is smearable – then have Glory put some on her lips and just give me lots of kisses on my face – then I will walk out the door with evidence of love!
I will see if she will let me give her lots of kisses too! Consent is a must!
We’ll be walking Kissy Kiss girls!
bahahahahahahaa
I wonder how many kisses you and I have received in our lifetime from others?!?
How many will our children receive?
How many have we given out?!?
But beyond that – how many kisses has God given us during our lifetime?
I see his kisses as being ways that he has provided, protected, and just loved on us.
Let’s be on the lookout!
Let’s pray for the eyes and increased senses to see God loving us each day – even on the toughest of days, weeks,…years! There are intentional heavenly kissy kisses mixed into the trials and tribulations of life. Let’s be present enough to notice the gifts!
In gratitude – let’s count those up!!!
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Ps. 103:1-5
“I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Ps. 9:1
