This NO – vember, remember that many times freedom looks like saying “No”…
To yourself and to others.
Here are a couple of “Financial No’s” that I have recently said to myself:
Amazon Prime Purchases: I studied myself and realized that the ease of purchasing was harming my financial picture. So what did I do? I removed all credit and debit cards from my Amazon. I have put myself on a freeze when it comes to shopping on Amazon, at least for this month. When this freeze lifts – I will most likely keep cards from being saved into my account (so I have to re-enter my card and think before I purchase). In the future, I will allow myself one day per month to order off of Amazon and give myself a monthly spend allowance just for Amazon.
Subscriptions: Canceled those subscriptions I haven’t used in the last 3 months, even when they are doing their last pitch “Baby, don’t go” shoot their shot line! Bye bye, Audible – forget those credits! lol There is no ” well, maybe one day soon I’ll use it…” mentality. Using it currently – then you stay. Not using it currently – bye.

There is power in saying “no” beyond the financial zone, as well.
This looks like saying “no” to :
- Disrespect
- Lack of action on goals
- Comparison
- External validation
- Overcommitting
- Complaining
NO – vember has just begun – it’s a great time for us to aggressively say “no” so we can position ourselves for the “Yes” we want to live in!
