Just Show Up

When you want to change for real, you must:

That you will commit to the process.

Going into it you must know there will be barriers. Understand that all types of excuses, resistance, and attitudes from your own self will emerge.

Your commitment must override those barriers.

I started boxing in May. I did one class and then signed up to be a member of a boxing gym. I decided that boxing is what I do. There are days I have been sad, angry, and/or tired – but I still show up. I’ve driven my car to the gym and then when my car went but bye…I’ve Ubered, ride shared, and even biked 4.5 miles (each way).

When you want transformation and when you see/feel the results – you will do what you have to do – to maintain it!

See when I signed up to box it wasn’t for a health reason. It was to learn how to defend my own self, physically. When I first signed up – I was told ppl either come once or never leave.

Now, I’m not there everyday due to transportation challenges and scheduling – but I do my best to attend boxing class 3x per week. I’ve been slipping under that lately, ugh!

Regardless, my physical transformation has been noticed by others.

Ya girl, has muscles!

Mhm, you see it…bahahahahaha!

I’m going to keep boxing, not for these physical perks alone , but to become stronger and better at the craft. Perhaps, I’ll spar soon!

If you want transformation in any area of your life – commit to showing up consistently! Fight for your breakthrough by getting in your reps.

Xoxo,

Lonisa
