The Boxing Mindset Shift: Training To Endure

The other day I was in a boxing class. I thought it ended at the 10:30am mark. I noticed we were still doing stuff:

I shouted to the class – “What time this end?!?”.

See I had biked 25 mins to the gym, then did the 8:30am boxing class – then did the 9:45am boxing class! I was feeling every drill and telling my body it wasn’t tired!

I kept swinging even when I was exhausted and would tell myself to keep pressing!

I was told class ended at 10:45am!

Another 15 mins, felt like, “Oh, nooooooooooo they didn’t!”.

In my mind, I was clinging to that 10:30am mark to get myself through the pain. When I was told the truth of the ending time, I had to grieve that expectation quick and keep it pushing. Class ended at 10:45am.

Shoot at least I got an exact end time with boxing.

We don’t know when Jesus is returning, we are to be ready though at all times.

” But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” Matthew 24:36

“For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night” 1 Thessalonians 5:2

To my brothers and sisters in Christ, who really believed it was wrapping up here last month (September 2025). Take heart. We are in the last days, but the time has not come.

We aren’t supposed to cling to a set time, but to Jesus. He is our fixed focal point. Our troubles, challenges, all the things taking place in our meaningless days under the sun – are fleeting.

Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Jesus so even if his return feels “delayed” and we want to quit, we are still locked in regardless.

Stay armored up. The fact that you are on this planet at this time means you have been equipped through Jesus to endure to the end.

A while back, God told me that I wouldn’t make it without being in his Word #Bible. I’m passing that message to you. When I received it, I didn’t understand it – but as I continue to live here – I understand.

You guys -> listening/reading the Word Of God #Bible straight is strengthening and has a reviving effect that I cannot explain. Nevertheless, I have experienced it.

May our hunger for God’s Word straight up (no chaser) be increased and we receive a fresh wind of God’s presence now! In Jesus name, Amen.
