Life Feels Like A Car Wash

Today, I went to the car wash with the kiddos. We go every 2 weeks, usually on Saturday. As usual, I had to put the whip in:

Neutral

As I lined my tires up with the track to go through all the fun phases of the auto car wash – I thought:

Oooh, Life Feels Like This

Follow me here. I agreed to go through a process and it requires that I stay in the driver’s seat -sealed in – and doing nothing to move my “life” along. Like how Noah got his crew in the ark and the animals – then God sealed them in – and they had to hang tight where they were located. They weren’t “outside”. Cause I mean….God was wiping everybody and everything out – before this new beginning with humanity got going (Read Genesis 6-9) .

Hard reset!

I’m sure Noah and his crew were doing stuff inside to care for themselves, the animals, and to prepare. I’m sure they were like yoooo when can we be set free to go and play!!! In due time, in God’s time – he remembered them (although he never forgot them…prob aint feel that way).

Oh, think on the ish you have waited on or are currently waiting on. Don’t you be feeling out here and forgotten? Be real. Dang.

These phases of waiting and being sealed in can be real intense – cause like we don’t know how many there are and when it will end – if ever (in real regular degular life!!!).

So going through this car wash it was fun seeing all the colors, water, sprayers, and even going through that heat zone…but there came a point where I moved from not having my feet on any pedals….to looking at the exit with the green and red light…..ready to mash on the gas! Cause it was time for me to get back active in driving the vehicle.

There is a time for being in neutral. There is a time to drive when God gets us to where we need to be – both inwardly and outwardly – plus with the people we are to serve alongside and to serve. So many moving pieces that are gladly above my pay grade.

Next time you go through the car wash – think about how you are surrendered in that moment to the intense cleaning before you move out swiftly into action!

Rolling With It,
