Chicago: Modeling, Molly’s, & Mezzanine Dining

One thing ya gurl is gonna do is get out here and:

in my own company! Oh, it’s soo freeing.

This past Saturday, I spent the day solo in Chicago. I got there at around 2pm and got back after midnight.

I really had no plan. I let the adventure unfold as I strolled.

I did lots of people watching, took photos for families, and had a couple people request to take pics of me. One guy was liking my shoes and asked for a pic of them – he thought I made them (at least that’s what he was saying). Yall, I said okay – but was wondering….” Does he have a foot fetish?!?” – the shoes are open toed. As he backed up to take the pic, he was like it might have more than your feet in it. My face was in it – he was visiting from Seattle with his daughter and wanted to show people how people in Chicago are… Yall idk – but whatever. People are hilarious. Life is straight comedy! Going with the flow is what I know!

Here are freelance modeling pics captured in Chicago:

Take a silk or satin scarf and fold it until it’s in a long rectangle. Tie it around the crown of your head. If it’s long enough – secure it by making it into a bow. For added flare – take colorful hair clips and slide them onto the scarf! Puhlease, you gotta try this! It’s sooooo vibrant!

Check out Betsey Johnson heels! Her designs are scrumptious! If you like to stand out from the crowd – her quirky designs hit the mark. The heels I’m wearing are The Betsey Johnson Fergie Sandal! They are a small heel, at least to me – coming in at 3.5 inches. If you purchase them, please let your first walk in them be to Fergie – Glamourous (this version is unedited)!!!

If you’re visiting Chicago and are close to Navy Pier – consider stopping in at Molly’s Cupcakes! I had been walking for a while and decided to pop in for a sweet treat, before dinner. There are cute swings inside to sit down and enjoy your cupcakes! I ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake “Best Outlook On Life” and Cookie Monster “Most Likely To End Up In Jail” cupcakes.

A couple peeps on staff recommended this one – I ate it inside of Molly’s on one of the swings.
Saved this one for later in the evening.

After, this sweet treat I took myself to a rooftop dinner at the Roof On The Wit. I sat at the bar and enjoyed Lobster tacos and more people watching. Seemed a lot of people were celebrating special occasions . This has a great ambiance if you are ever in Chicago and looking to celebrate. The DJ was on point too! I left before any dancing commenced.

Before catching my train, I sat down at the riverfront to eat dessert, the Cookie Monster cupcake from Molly’s! Yummy!

Live a life of adventure! The next time I come back to Chicago, I’m going to see about catching a local train to hangout in some Chicago neighborhoods. That’s my stretch adventure goal.

What do you like to do when you come to Chicago? Have you ever been?

Love,
