The Life Of Salad Girl

One thing about me is I love me some:

with some yummy toppings! In fact, some kids in grade school used to call me “salad girl” and now I am raising one!

When we eat salad – are we actually in it for the….dressing?!? Still to be determined over here.

Lately, I’ve been hitting up Trader Joe’s for their pre-made greek salad! Oh, it’s soo good with the feta! I’m starting to really get hooked on it, but need to get back to making my own salads.

Join me on a flashback to when my daughter, Queen Glory, and I – made a:

right at our dwelling space, The Billionaire Bubble. Check it out on Lonisa Mari YouTube.

My daughter is four years young and she made me laugh with this one liner:

I’m thinking sister you are only four, but aye live your best life. She treats each day and adventure like the best ever!

Off camera she barely ate the salad – I devoured mine, perhaps hers too (I don’t recall).

I enjoyed making this rainbow salad with Queen Glory, who loves rainbows and this Veggie Tales episode about Noah’s Ark! She understands that the rainbow is a sign that God will never destroy the Earth by flood again.

I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”  And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” – Genesis 9: 13-17

Making rainbow salad can be a fun activity to do with your young children while reminding them of God’s love for them! Reminding them about how God cares for us by providing us with seed filled – fruits and veggies to nourish our bodies, for growth and healing.

Disclaimer: Please don’t read this and think I don’t eat unhealthy, processed, junk! I enjoy my Bubble Yum, Nerd Rope, Hot Tamales, Gummy Worms, etc.

Nevertheless, we should be praying that our obsession and dependency to have processed foods be broken and that we honor our bodies by what we put in our mouth. We can straight up tell God that we like eating junk and that we need him to take the desire away from us – while stuffing our faces. We can be real.
