Serving Those Who Serve Us: Encouragement for Restaurant Staff

Just like you and I – those who are serving us when we dine out – are going through:

Consider keeping prayer cards or mini small note cards on you when you are going out to eat.

In my car, I keep a little clear bin of cards in case I need to fill up.

At the end of a meal – I will often write a note and sometimes have the kids write one thing they appreciated about the server.

Get this!

One time, I returned to a dining spot where I had done this.

The server recognized me and told me:

There is so much power in words and encouragement – especially biblical encouragement.

You may not know what the person needs, but the Holy Spirit does and is always moving.

Plus! Having your kids see this in practice teaches them to never see themselves above or to be rude to servers. Even if they could’ve served better…they are human.

Consider writing notes to them and leaving decent tips.

I will show the bin I keep in my car. Come back later.
