Beat the Clock: Gamify Your ‘Suck’ Tasks

Do you time your activities? Specifically, the ones that you:

I folded my laundry this morning. The massive pile was looking real – forget this ish like.

I thought about how I don’t need more time to do this task, just focus.

I folded my laundry into the proper put away piles.

Again, each pile was looking real – forget this ish like. Very much giving -> I want to come back and do this later. But of course, I knew my folded laundry would get messed up – cause self and kids.

I decided to:

and lock in on putting everything away.

I chose to time myself and race the clock.

Get this. That task of putting away the folded clothes took me five minutes.

That’s it.

So now I have a lock in baseline.

The tasks that you don’t like to do – gamify it and understand:

What pile of shiz niz are you going after today?

I’m going after the “I’ll get to this later” stack of papers and put this away items.

Let’s get after it!

Set the timer!

On your mark, get set, go!

Comment “done” when you work through your pile so I can celebrate with you.

Clock It,
