Oh, You’re Funny!!!

Have you ever had people tell you that you are:

I have and it’s resulted in me landing on this –

Perhaps, I’m only coming across as those things because of my:

I often tell people the truth of how something happened according to facts or my unique storytelling lens and it catches them off guard. Many times to the point of laughter because I actually said that “awkward” thing with a straight face. Sometimes it’s self deprecating bahahahaha

If this is you – embrace it and lean into it. I am starting to do that more and more.

In fact, one of my sons is this way. He will just say stuff and it’s so real that it’s comical.

Recently, I had him take a group photo with some kids he had just met. I noticed that he would not get close to the group – like he was in the photo, but there was a clear separation. I know I tell him that he is “set apart”, but like bruh – get closer to the group! As soon as he got done with this pic he came to me whispering -> “you forced me to do that…we go talk about this in the car”. bahahahahahaha ninjagoooo what!

Well, we talked about it and he shared that he didn’t want to get close to them cause:

He was so serious and although I wanted to challenge him a bit – I sat with it and was like yooooooooo he is right!!! He told me he didn’t want any toxicity rubbing off on him. Now, you can laugh about that on the straight physical germ level, but the deeper lesson of peoples deep rooted inner issues harming you was hitting me too! He wasn’t trying to be funny, but his honesty was:

It’s so unique to him and beautiFULL! I pray this part of him always shines through!

I hope the same for you! Let your straight forward honesty give those around you a whiplash laughing session! Joyfully express yourself – the people need it as well as you! You may just help free yourself and others from dumb!

If you’re still doubting, remember that:

Modern science identifies that laughter builds immune systems and restores health. – unknown (enjoying great moments)

Joy is the serious business of heaven – unknown (enjoying great moments)

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22
