We often experience delays and are quick to blame the party we believe is responsible. What if the delay you are experiencing in your life is not because of some outside force, but because:
You are not ready.
Ouchie, right?!? I’m clenching my toes too!
God is good and doesn’t want to overwhelm us with responsibilities and territories that we are not equipped to manage.
God doesn’t want to do everything for us – but WITH us.
This is why the prioritization of our personal growth is crucial. We must want to grow or we may keep getting “No” for a long time.
Not because God hasn’t prepared a “Yes” for us, but because we haven’t said yes to:
Doing the hard things consistently.
I’m telling you – that for a long time I would shrink back from addressing poor behavior, but God kept allowing me to have experiences that forced me to rise up. I didn’t like it, but it’s like God was saying the YES – I have for you and what you really want – requires your “weakness” to be chipped away little by little – so you take what is yours by force!
It’s like me holding out a toy I have for my child. The toys is theirs – I purchased it – their name is on it – but do they want it!?! If so, they better reach out and take it out of my hand. That requires muscle and often time grit – especially if other kids are around – who don’t care about their name not being on it! They saw an opportunity and took it! Can we be mad at them for being more proactive than us?
I’m reminded of this scripture:
“By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land.” Exodus 20: 30-33
God has given you the victory – but YOU have to partner with God to drive out the poor habits and sometimes those that have your stuff! This requires prayer, grit, and action – so you can become strengthened for the more that is coming your way! & it is on they way!

You have the millions – but YOU have to learn how to budget, save, and invest!
You have the boldness – but YOU have to open your mouth and use your voice!
You have the health – but YOU have to eat better and move your body.
Transformation is active, not passive.
You may not be fully in your “YES”, but know your specific – territory has been getting conquered little by little! Keep moving forward!
What’s one area in your life where you feel God is asking you to press?
Pressing On,
