The Power Of The Word

Sometimes I have thoughts of only:

Bahahahaha, I’m laughing but do you know how powerful that would be if we actually did that!?!

I know people would laugh really hard and be like wait what……

Imagine someone being like, “Yo, you hungry?!?”

and you responding like Jesus saying:

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

They would be like, ” Yooooooooooooo, you’ve gone too far!”.

Then you open your Bible and start reading like:

You know if a lot of these churches stopped telling these stories and just read scripture – it would be a game changer. Perhaps that doesn’t happen because it would mess up these “mega churches” as this shift would result in churches being on an even playing field as they are only reading scripture – nothing less, nothing more.

Some of these churches are massive, not because of scripture, but because they have great storytelling presenters and programs.

I mean maybe the sermons should be 80% scripture minimum and 20% story. The word speaks for itself. People used to just gather and listen to scripture being read and that was it – they were filled enough off of that!

But aye – people like to hear themselves talk and people like to idolize them – even though they are but a vapor and have no power to save! It’s giving glorified toxic cycle?

If people matured and got into The Word for themselves, they’d quickly see it’s already comedic!

What if churches took turns having people just go to the platform and read God’s word – with no one repeating? – no introduction or bio accolade read. Just a random ninjagoo feeding God’s people.

Hmm?

I’ve actually seen this done for the reading of the core message scripture and found it beautiful. I’ve also seen it where the worship team sings on the same level as the congregation – not on the platform. Also, beautiful.

If you found out one of the no named bible readers was messin’ with someone in the church – you wouldn’t be so distraught and ready to throw God away – cause you’d know it was just an:

& like who are they again?!? Doesn’t even matter cause you never thought they weren’t flawed – they just were a server of the satisfying food.

Do you know the names of those who serve you at these restaurants and bring them up regularly?

God looking at us like these people are wild – why are they treating the server like the food? Are they cannibalistic?!?
