Dollar Tree DIY: Paper Plate Flower Tutorial

Have you seen those Dollar Tree Flowers that have been circulating on Facebook Reels and Tik Tok?

Crafty creatives are using:

Paper Plates

to make spring displays and arches! I gave this art project a go and…

I have a tutorial for you along with lessons learned.

Making them was fun…I felt that hot flue burn! (womp)

Hanging them was frustrating…but I got it done! (hehehehe)

Here is a video of the first paper plate flower being made; recorded by Queen Glory, my daughter who is 4 years young! She is soo sweet!

Materials Needed:

Large Paper Plates to make jumbo flowers
Small Paper Plates to make small flowers (also used for the center of the jumbo flowers)
Hot Glue Gun & Hot Glue to stick the paper plates together
3M strips to adhere the flowers to the wall (I recommend cutting a strip into thirds so you can place a little sticky adhesive on multiple petals and save money)

Puhlease learn from me and don’t use double sided tape to stick your flowers to the wall – your flowers will most likely fall off.

Don’t believe me – just watch my floral fails in 3, 2, 1!

Over here we may get frustrated, but we never give up! These flowers finally stuck to the wall with 3M adhesives – the ones you use for picture frames!
