My daily blog posting streak has been:

Broken.

But my spirit is not!

I set out to post every single day this year! On 3/17/25 I sat at this computer typing at 11:45pm – allowed myself to become distracted – looked up and it was midnight. It was the next day! Which means – I failed to hit publish on 3/17/25.

What distracted me? The others tabs I had open in my browser! Focus is key if we are going to hit our goals consistently.

I’m thankful! I made it to 75 days of posting without skipping a day.

I could tell myself ” Oh, Lonisa, you posted twice on one of the days – just use that as your buffer”. No. The goal was to post every single day – even if there were days I posted more than once.

I’m not going to move the bar, just cause I failed to clear it. They don’t do that in the Olympics. It’s go back – train – and try again in 4 years!

Thankfully, I don’t have to wait 4 years to show up on the Lonisa Mari blog stage! I can show up the next day after flopping. That’s exactly what I am doing!

So many times, we miss the mark and then don’t get back to the goal for weeks, months, years….sometimes never!

Imagine riding a bike – falling off and then feeling so bummed about the fall – that you don’t pedal for another year!

So much time would have been lost. That time could’ve been spent falling more and more until you get numb to falling! Falling = growth New tricks could’ve been mastered and amazing paths blazed!

Get back up and lock in on the mission.

Leave the excuses. You’ve been in your woe is me – take pity condition long enough! Jesus asked the man at the well who complained of not having help:

Do you want to get well?

Then commanded the man to get up and pick up his mat!

Do we want to be well? If so, we gotta pick up our mat!

I’m thankful for the opportunity to be alive to pick my blogging mat back up! I’ve kicked off the next daily blogging streak! This next one will go beyond 75 days!
