The Manna In The Waiting: Trust God’s Plan

Many times, we see people living in their “It’s Ready!”…

Why am I last? Why is it taking so long?

Don’t lose heart.

Your order is on the way!

You are going to eat, too!

The wild thing is…we are already eating on the manna God has been providing. But in our uppitiness we forget and become less enthralled!

The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, “If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!” Numbers 11: 4-6

While your “latest” order is being prepped – let the waiting work on you:

– Get equipped to receive – perhaps that is learning new skills or using your resources to make way for the new.

– Sip on God’s Word so you have the spiritual strength to withstand and conquer all that comes with your expected delivery.

– Learn to endure, trust, and appreciate the gifts you’ve already unwrapped. Let’s stop treating them like worthless scraps.

Right before delivery there is a “we’re checking it” phase, at least here at Panera.

You are the apple of God’s eye. Jesus is the bread of life.

I’m thankful for that cause you know how we can get when our delivery is “messed up”! Sometimes that professional I got it together mask drops real quick! Pick it up, right now! Get it together. Peeps are quick to record so they can go viral. 🤣

Let’s go congratulate our brothers and sisters who are enjoying their perks, rewards, and treats. They are waiting on something too that you probably don’t even know about. Aren’t we all?

What if we lived knowing that Jesus is enough? Would we obsess about the next delivery? Would we dwell on the “misery” of our worldly desires being canceled? Would we rest in contentment?

“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst” John 6:35

The things we desire while great are often temporary and fleeting. By the time we get it we’re already looking for the next thing. Probably complaining about the thing we were so adamant about having!

Oh to be a flawed afizzle fearfully and wonderfully made human! (Psalm 139:14)

Choose to be where you are, taking delight in God’s everlasting presence.

How are you showing up in the waiting?

Stay hydrated,
