Fueled by Kindness: Even at Emissions

Recently, I was at the emissions facility. An elderly woman with a cane:

while leaving the counter. Another woman in line quickly stepped in to pick up the elderly woman’s things, returning the items back to her and patiently allowing her to receive them and get settled. As the elderly woman approached the door…. that woman (who had just helped her) and a man went to hold the door open for her.

It’s like they were competing to get to her. The woman was moving first and then the man started to step in – in a “let me get on my job” kind of way.

“Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Outdo one another in showing honor” Romans 12:10

The elderly woman walked through the door and thanked them, telling them:

This was such a heart warming encounter to observe. It made me want to cry with joy.

I know this world is full of cray cray, but it’s also filled with with humans making an old ladies day (& mine & now, perhaps yours too)!

There are acts of kindness occurring all around us. Be present as you adventure and report back to the comments with the kindness you observe. Better yet, I challenge you to be that person who loves and uplifts others!

Years ago, I picked up these kindness clips from Target! I use a sharpie to personalize them and hand them out to people while adventuring. Sometimes I clip them on stuff to be found later.

Consider joining me in flashing the heart hand gesture to fellow drivers, check out this blog post with more details!

What uplifting interactions have you seen humans having around you?
