I have a daughter. She mirrors much of what I do and has told me:
I Want To Be Like You
I’ve applied gel to my eyebrows to later see her with triple thick eyebrows (she used my mascara, LOL)!
I’ve applied lipstick to later see her with lipstick smeared all over her face!
I’ve put on blush to later see her with rosy cheeks!
Her prompt emulation of my outer habits nudged me to evaluate my inner core programming.
I’ve allowed myself to have experiences that I would never want my daughter to copy & paste into her life.
I could talk to her about what not to allow, but as they say:
Life Is Caught, Not Taught
I never want my daughter to find herself in deep recovery due to tolerated foolery.
Many talk about being a generational curse breaker, but do we know what that means for real?
I believe it means removing poor mindsets and behaviors and replacing them with wealthy mindsets and behaviors. Women can usher that in just by wearing a:
Crown
and pairing it with God’s Word. Our true identity is found in who God says we are – which is written in the greatest book of love:
The Bible
When a weighted jeweled crown is on your head you naturally carry yourself like royalty.
I recently gifted my daughter her first official crown!

Now, we both have our crowns!
As a mother, I’m thrilled to help my daughter know her royal identity in Jesus Christ!
Daily she is called:
Queen Glory

The goal being that she will only answer to endearing names that align with who God created her to be.
To up this impartation of generational blessings, Queen Glory and I now go on monthly dates where we wear our crowns around town!

We get dolled up! We take our pictures! We dine on adventures!
- As we get ready, I speak life over her.
- As we travel to our destination, I thank her for the gift of her presence.
- As we dine, I assure her that she is one of a kind and should be treated as such at all times.
She is being equipped to not let any rascal mess up her castle (inner and outer).
On our first date, we shared a heart shaped pizza at That’s Amore Pizza.

At dinner, I read a few passages from Erin Thompson’s book Daughters, focusing on how we are adopted daughters of God. Erin’s book invites ladies to examine their identity in Christ. Check out her site, I just discovered she even has a crown necklace available, how fitting!
Afterwards, we headed to Dollar Tree for snacks. As soon as we walked in a woman remarked:
Oohh! Royalty is here!
To which I responded, “Yes it is!”. No shrinking back from the truth!
After securing the snacks, we zipped over to Burlington for Glory to pick out a dress! Let me tell ya – this Queen knows what she wants! It took her less than 3 minutes to identify the dress she wanted off the rack.
On our drive back to our dwelling space (aka The Billionaire Bubble), I asked her if she enjoyed our date. Her feedback:
Mom, We Didn’t Go Everywhere!
I told her we will have dates all over. For now, we are starting off local.

Queen Glory and I had the fanciest of times and just concluded our 2nd date of the year! She gets jump around, high pitch squealing excited for these dates, as do I!
I hope this post encourages you to put on your crown and to encourage the daughters in your life to do the same. Do so with boldness! You are a sight and a wonder that God sent Jesus to die for. Your worth cannot be quantified!
You are deeply valued and loved. May you know that in your core.
So, will you join Queen Glory and I by going on a crowned date of your own next month? Let me know in the comments and tag me in your pics (@lonisamari on all socials)! I’d love to ooh and ahh at your fanciness.
Love,
