Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
I passed on watching the game and got into a sweet adventure of my own at a:
Gas Station
I wanted one of my favorite candies:
Super Blow Pop Suckers
They are soo yummy!
While looking for my flavors in the candy box, I noticed a sucker that was missing most of the stick.

I came very close to passing on that sucker, then thought let me inquire about a:
Discount
At the counter, I asked the cashier if I could get that sucker for less, given it’s condition.
The normal price is 65 cents.
The cashier got the greenlight from her colleague (perhaps manager) to charge me:
10 cents
for the sucker! I was so thankful!

Nothing was wrong with the sucker itself – it was missing majority of the stick.
I shared with the cashiers how I challenge myself to ask for things even if the answer may be:
No
We laughed over the fact that being told no – isn’t that bad.

In fact, there is something called “Rejection Therapy”, where you intentionally position yourself to be rejected. Check out this instagram account (MaureensMarketing). She changed her life drastically by seeking out rejection, as she ended up getting life changing Yes’!

A no – may not give you what you want, but it gifts resilience. That is a quality that builds grit! Imagine being so skilled at receiving no’s, that you courageously pursue your dreams – perhaps getting yourself on mind blowing:
Platforms
Many watched high level athletes and performers at the Super Bowl today – who endured lots of no’s on their journey.
As you go into the week, look for at least one opportunity to ask for what you want. That’s how you blow up your comfort zone and grow for your next.
