our experiences! Today, I watched the clip of The Matrix where Neo was with the Oracle. He was curious on why she offered him candy. I mean didn’t she know what he would choose? In looking at the comments to that video, it was shared that it wasn’t so much about the choice but:

Why Neo chose what he did?

Self awareness and understanding was the invitation behind the choice. It can take a lifetime and then some to try to understand the why behind our decisions and even more to grasp our experiences with others.

If you’ve been following my LUV-U-WEARY series, you know that Marshae loves to walk her paths in heels.

Her fashion is a reminder of her healing journey! Much like Neo, she is unpacking the why behind her experiences. Thankfully God sends notes along the way to help her out.

This is the message she received:

As soon, as she picked up the last note -> Standards! She took off running because it unlocked a major why behind her circumstances. Marshae had been slowly lowering her standards in her relationships, leaving her conflicted.

Have you ever lowered your expectations? You go into relationships with the bar high and as time goes on – you lower it a bit…then a little more…until it is on the floor. Perhaps, compromising in your relationships by allowing disrespect and crossed boundaries.

Invite the Holy Spirit into your process of core healing. Jesus cares about our emotional wounds and recovery. You can be empowered by God’s spirit to run fully into who you were created to be without shrinking.

This is your reminder to bend & snap into your power! Raise the bar!
