Cultivating Gratitude: Even When It’s Hard

Have you ever been in an:

It’s like a crabby attitude cloud is hanging over you and you cannot see through to the light. Ugh, frustrating.

I’ve had experiences where trials and tribulations feel so heavy that getting out an :

is hard to muster up. There is great resistance both inner and outer. In those moments, it’s like my teeth become bars in a jail cell and I’m being held in a chokehold. I feel trapped with no way of escape.

I’ve learned that:

is a powerful way to disarm the gratitude barrier, opening up a window of hope. Then, like lifting weights – I begrudgingly lift up my tongue, apply pressure to my diaphragm, and birth out gratitude.

Your Gratitude List

Here is the gratitude list that I keep on my fridge. Consider printing it off and placing in a high traffic spot. This is a great way to get going with being thankful – hopefully, as time goes on you can create your own list of 100 things.

Let’s fill our hearts with gratitude together. Share one thing you’re thankful to God for in the comments below, and let’s start a chain of thankfulness!
