Years ago, when I was still in the 9-5 Matrix grind

– I was returning back from maternity leave. A well meaning person with a limited mindset told me to stay put and not go for anything.

I smiled and shoulder shrugged.

I remembered I was well connected & highly favored. So I texted a decision maker.

This is what I texted and this was the response.

I was

Shook!

I hadn’t corresponded with this person for over 1/2 a year.

This response was not expected and for the ball to be kicked back to me so quick.

I then had to think about what it was I really wanted to do.

Next thing I know. The leader is setting up time with me to pitch the team and the position for me to consider.

I passed on the opportunity, nevertheless, I knocked on the door.

The position was mine – I had to have the faith to ask for it.

ASK! KNOCK! & REPEAT
