This post is long overdue! I had this encounter back in 2022 with:
Friendly Frank
I told him that I would share this message back on my blog! So here it is, almost 3 yrs later. Perhaps, you need it now.
One of my favorite places to eat is Panera. My go to order is a Pick 2: Greek Salad w/chicken and French Onion soup. So yummy! Well, one day, as I was walking to my table at Panera.

A seasoned man said, “How are you?”. I smiled and said , “Thriving and shining! How about you?”. He said, “Good for being 79.” I thought he was talking weather.
I then realized my error and said, “Oh wow, you are 79, wow!”. He replies:
Want to know the key?
He said, “Being happy.”. I smiled and replied, “Nice, how are you happy?”.
Then he started bubbling over with a message. So I hurried and sat at his table. This is what he shared. “….
Good, Better, Best
– if u teach your kids that they will have a fabulous life! If you’re gonna be a success it is up to you! “. He recommended the book, Ageless Memory.

Friendly Frank also discussed the below with me ( I did not clean this up – pulling straight from my diary):
- The master of memory is tying it to it to something
- To remember story they would call it local and attach it to certain things
- To memorize tie to something over the top
- Friendly frank and have a fabulous life ( I believe he told me to call him this and to have a fab life)
- He told me to take this wisdom I have to pass it on. (I told him yes I will. I have a blog. 🙂 )
- Be comfortable with everything that is how you enjoy life.
- Methodist open doors and open hearts and something else
- Asked me – What is your legacy going to be?
- Talked to me about discipleship
- Best way to teach kids, ask them questions.
- Recommended people to study from:
- Dennis Prager
- Rush Limbaugh
- Charlie Kirk
- Dr. Ben Carson
Friendly Frank, shared with me that he used to have a stutter, but turned it around by becoming a salesman. He put himself in a position to grow beyond his limitations.
Our lives can transform when we partner with God to overcome obstacles.
He left me with this line:
Good, better, best. Never let it rest until your good is better and your better is the best!
I hope this helps you! If so, share it with your crew.
Love,
